| While nothing formal has yet been announced by SPACE itself, media site C21Media is reporting the Canadian home of Doctor Who has bought Torchwood: Miracle Day and will be airing it this summer, roughly around the time Starz and the BBC broadcast the 10-part miniseries.
Starz has announced a start date of July 8 and as yet the BBC has not followed suit with its broadcast launch. We look forward to the official word from SPACE, including information about when the series kicks off, though we’re of course hopeful the Canadian cable TV channel can bring viewers day & date broadcasts with the US and/or UK. In the mean time, though, we’re glad to see Miracle Day is coming to Canada! Edit: BBC Worldwide issued a press release with some further details. |

Hey! It’s another podcast from the Doctor Who Podcast Alliance! In this episode, Martyn from the Bad Wilf Podcast and David Monteith of the Geek Syndicate Podcast venture down to the Valiant 2 Convention in Sheffield, UK (which took place on March 5). There, they interviewed several notable people such as writers Joe Lidster (Sarah Jane Adventures) and Simon Guerrier (Short Trips, Big Finish), Clifford Rose and David Weston (who both appeared in the 1981 serial Warriors’ Gate), Roy Spencer (from The Ark and Fury From The Deep), and the wonderful Sophie Aldred, who of course played Ace from 1987-89. Have a listen! |

<![CDATA[Here's another Doctor Who Insider look at the upcoming Series 6, this one focusing on The Doctor himself, thanks to our chums at BBC America:

Extreme spoilerphobes should of course beware, but here are the titles for the first seven episodes of Doctor Who, Series 6. The last of the gaps were filled in by Doctor Who Magazine in issue 433.
Factored in with the previous announcement of episode 11’s “The God Complex”, we’ve now got a majority of the Series 6 titles. Now to deal with the wait until the episodes actually go out…
Our opinion has always been that if the information has been released by an official source then it’s not a spoiler, though we realize not everyone shares that opinion.]]>

The Oxford Literary Festival took place in April 2011 and featured a panel of Doctor Who writers on April 3. The panel, titled Doctor Who: Bigger On The Inside, featured noted Doctor Who novel writers Trevor Baxendale, Colin Brake, Justin Richards, and Oli Smith. After the panel, TMDWP’s Luke Harrison, on behalf of the Doctor Who Podcast Alliance, sat down and talked with all these fine gentlemen, the results of which can be heard here. Enjoy! |
