One week after North America gets The Ice Warriors and Scream of the Shalka on DVD, on September 24, those of us on this side of the Atlantic will be able to buy the complete Seventh Series of Doctor Who on DVD and Blu-Ray.
The release, set to include both Christmas Specials (The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe and The Snowmen) and the other 13 episodes from this most recent series, will have bonus features such as episode prequels, behind the scenes featurettes, some content from The Nerdist and several specials including Pond Life. Audio commentaries are also included, but the information we’ve got at this point doesn’t say how many episodes have commentaries; don’t be surprised if commentary isn’t included for every episode (but soon enough the Radio Free Skaro commentaries for Series 7 will all be available!). MSRP for the DVD release is $79.99 while the MSRP for the Blu-Ray release is $89.99; click on the artwork above for a larger image. Check TVShowsOnDVD.comfor more details! |

I was listening to the “Scaling The Shard” podcast and you mentioned “The Doctor, The Widow & The Wardrobe” hadn’t been released on DVD yet. You are incorrect. It has been out for about a year now. I borrowed it from the library and watched it last Christmas.
