Dalek on The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson

<![CDATA[As a bit of a preview to the Doctor Who-centric episode on November 16, a Dalek featured on the November 15 edition of The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson. For most of the show, the Dalek was parked next to Ferguson's robotic co-host Geoff Peterson and had to endure (like the rest of us) some ill-timed jabs from guest Dennis Miller.

Ferguson roasted the Dalek in a more loving fashion during the episode's cold open, which you can watch below. Be sure to tune in to The Late Late Show on CBS tonight (November 16) as Matt Smith will be the main guest, along with Nerdist podcast host, and rabid Doctor Who fan, Chris Hardwick (check your local listings).

2010 Christmas Special Title Revealed

<![CDATA[Earlier today, the BBC revealed that the title of this year’s Christmas Special, long known to be a take on A Christmas Carol, will be… A Christmas Carol. Doctor Who has a long tradition of having story titles describing exactly what happens with key plot elements or inspirations (The Dalek Invasion of Earth and The Shakespeare Code to name but two), so it shouldn’t come as too much of a shock to have this title used. While a bit underwhelming in our estimation, the bottom line is we’re coming ever closer to new Doctor Who, and really, isn’t that the best Christmas present we can ask for?

February North America Doctor Who DVDs

<![CDATA[

As promised by 2 Entertain’s Dan Hall in Radio Free Skaro #221, 2011 is indeed shaping up to be a very busy year for Doctor Who DVD fans in North America. Hot on the heels of two releases in January, February 8 sees another two DVDs coming out in the form of the 1996 TV Movie and the 1972 serial The Mutants. The TV Movie finally sees its first North American release of any kind on the eve of the 15th anniversary of its original broadcast, whereas The Mutants is the second release (after Meglos) that will be released in 2011 at around the same time as it is in the UK.
