The UK is awash in televisual Mrrahhh Business this week as Sky is set to purchase ITV for $2.13 billion and what better “experts” to weigh in on the subject than three Canadians with a passing familiarity with the industry? Plus a surfeit of Troughton-era goodness in the form of a massive production diary of the era by author David Brunt and a Doctor Who: Legends special featuring Ol’ Two himself. We also have blatant foreign election interference as we endorse Count Binface and poorly explain what Ceefax is to the younger generations who do not in any way care! All this AND part one of our Classic Series Commentary for the newly released special edition of “Warriors Of The Deep”!!

Doctor Who: Radio Free Skaro 
I’m afraid that I’ll have to disappoint you a little with the Production Diaries. I’m not even thinking beyond McCoy. Although McGann and the wilderness years are on the back burner as a possible, depending on what paperwork the BBC holds.
But the realisation I may be working on those into my 70s is not something I’m looking forward to. I doubt that TELOS would be either.
Anyway, I’m just concentrating of Pertwee for the foreseeable future. It depends how much the new restrictions concerning paperwork access at the Written Archives will impact beyond that. If some paperwork isn’t accessible, it could have big consequences on the future content. This would affect actors and writers copyright paperwork, especially for writers of spec scripts.
I’ll only know when work fully starts on the first Tom volume. Probably as much as two years away at the moment.
The post 2005 seasons will have to be by whoever comes after me. As you say – whatever paperwork or files may survive for it.
