I don’t find captain scarlet or thunderbirds silly. those shows had better quality stories than doctor who the past couple of years.
I loved Death in Heaven and I was so pleased with your RFS episode. I listened to another Who podcast before yours and they tore Death in Heaven up into itty-bitty pieces. I thought that maybe I was the crazy one. You guys restored my faith.

Really enjoyed your discussion, guys! While I feel like everyone else is much clearer on the Doctor’s identity after this series than I am (what am I missing?!?), I enjoyed the finale and the whole series — I think it’s the strongest and most unified since series 5 — and agreed with virtually everything in your podcast. I especially appreciate your lifting up difficult choices as a unifying theme of the season. Great stuff.

Re: clarity of his identity. For us viewers, his “identity” will never be clear, or else it wouldn’t be called “Doctor Who” anymore. What is clearer to the Doctor is that his Big Question about whether or not he is a good man has been answered, and a weight has been lifted from his shoulders. He is not a “good” man, but he tries to do the right thing–even when it is a difficult decision that involves the sacrifice of something or someone.
