It’s November 2020! And to celebrate(?), we have an episode full of Doctor Who news, Star Trek analysis, Sean Connery remembrance, and the main event, which is our Doctor Who Series 12 Commentary of “Fugitive of the Judoon”, with writer and TARBIS podcaster Connie Gibbs!
Halloween Tweetalongs, Big Finish First Doctor box sets, and Billie Piper appearing on David Tennant’s podcast mark another week in the Time of the Swarm, along with some musical educational content along the way from Segun Akinola in the form of a chat on Instagram. But why ponder future events when we can go back to the past along with costume and cosplay expert Amanda-Rae Prescott for our latest Doctor Who Series 12 Commentary on “Nikola Tesla’s Night of Terror”!
COVID-19 continues to rampage through society and the latest victim of its viciousness is Calgary Expo, delayed from April to late July. In the meantime, you can watch The Faceless Ones on iTunes, enjoy some Children in Need content in the form of Doctor Who Pudseys and lockdown short stories, pine for The War Doctor Begins from Big Finish, with a recast War Doctor (controversy!), or sit back and listen to our Doctor Who Series 12 Commentary for “Orphan 55” with special guest and cohost of Earp Chirp and Agents of Smooch Annette Wierstra!
New Doctor Who alert! Well, two new promo pics for the upcoming holiday special “Revolution of the Daleks”, at any rate, and we’ll take it in this Time of the Swarm. More Dalek related content on the way with the Daleks! trailer (featuring Mechanoids!), lots of news from the online version of New York Comic-Con, including a couple of new Doctor Who video games, and, most importantly, our Doctor Who Series 12 commentary for “Spyfall – Part Two” with Head Over Feels CEO and fanfic author extraordinaire Kim Rogers!
It’s that time again, friends, where we dust off the previous series of Doctor Who, having let it settle in our minds for the past few weeks (or, given that it’s 2020, the past few decades in the longest year ever) and take a fresh look at it with some friends both new and old. This week, we look back at “Spyfall – Part One”, with guest Rachel Donner, as we begin the odyssey of our Doctor Who Series 12 Commentaries!
It’s trivia time again! Coming off Warren’s stunning victory in the first instalment of our new trivia segment Trivia, Mr. Fibuli, we invite our friend Kyle Anderson along to challenge both Warren and Chris as we play the latest version of Doctor Who Trivial Pursuit. Also, the Radio Times readers have chosen David Tennant as their favourite Doctor (just), new action dollies are coming, and we give you details about our Doctor Who Series 12 Commentaries which begin next week!
Are you ready for Bradley Walsh to join Jodie Whittaker and Mandip Gill on the Doctor Who panel at New York Comic-Con on October 8? Are you ready for some amazing looking new Doctor Who figurines from Eaglemoss? Are you ready for an impromptu deep dive into the history of the Canadian Football League? Be ready, and also be ready for our Miniscope on Doctor Who director (and all around nice person) Wayne Yip!
It is with a heavy heart we relay the news that Gallifrey 2021 has been postponed due to the ongoing awfulness that is the world, more specifically the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s merely a pleasure deferred however, as all memberships are being shifted to Gallifrey 2022 when hopefully the world is a better and healthier place. We also have news of a Jodie and Mandip (psst, Thasmin confirmed) panel at virtual NYCC, a new Daleks animated program to tie in with Time Lord Victorious, and more! And to top it off, a deep dive into Doctor Who missing episodes with Tim and Paul from Doctor Who – The Missing Episodes Podcast!
The Time Lord is victorious, and we now have issue #1 of the Doctor Who Comic and trailer to prove it as David Tennant tosses high collars over the brown suit for the latest transmedia adventures of our favourite Galllifreyan. Mark your calendar for Titan’s Doctor Who Comics Day on Nov. 21, and keep your ears peeled for new BBC Audio on the horizon! But let’s stop shilly shallying, shall we? We have our Classic Series Commentary over the concluding episodes of “The Power of the Daleks”!
The moment you have waited for has arrived! Well, honestly just Warren was waiting for Character Options Daleks from “The Chase”, otherwise known as “secretly getting Cushing Daleks into the Dolly Canon.” And here they are! Also, there’s some news of further Big Finish Tenth Doctor adventures, the re-emergence of a Colin Baker graphic novel, rumours of newly animated missing Patrick Troughton adventures, and Episodes Three and Four of our Classic Series Commentary for “The Power of the Daleks”!
