Controversy stalks the BBC as the question is asked: did they censor Ncuti Gatwa’s comments on The Graham Norton Show about a possible third season of New New Doctor Who? And the answer is…likely not. What is much more probable is the Three Who Rule excoriating the current state of television while referring to a recent Deadline story on that same topic, but enough of these dour matters! There’s a new Gallifreyan translator that can turn your words into circles, an Adventures in Type and Space book on the way featuring the work of Sid Sutton, and part two of our Terry Nation Miniscope, where we delve into his work on “The Chase”, “Mission to the Unknown”, and “The Daleks’ Master Plan”! It’s a new and wonderful era as Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby Sunday action dollies are both announced and will trounce your bank account! That’s in addition to intrigue and mumblesuch on the set of the Graham Norton Show as insight-sharer Ncuti Gatwa mentions movement on the Series 3 front, which was then mysteriously absent from the broadcast! There’s a contest to see the upcoming Xmas special “Joy to the World” in your local cinema, unless you live in Canada, in which case you can go to hell, and ITV is now premiering Coronation Street online previous to broadcast, a move sure to perturb elderly Corrie-heads! Radio Free Skaro #975 – Achievement in a Thankless Role
Warren has returned from his European travails, and just in time as casting for The War Between the Land and the Sea (henceforth known as TWBTLATS) is announced to much fanfare, A Disney poobah nods approvingly at Doctor Who as an idea, Catherine Tate herself hosts the BBC Proms, and Blake’s 7 news takes the internet (well, us) by storm with an amazing box set on the way for the UK (and North America?). All this as a preamble for some of the greatest acting in British televisual history as we commentate on Part Three of Planet of the Spiders!
